1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the scrnr.io API, dashboard, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

scrnr.io provides a screenshot-as-a-service API that allows you to capture pixel-perfect screenshots of publicly accessible web pages via REST API or MCP tool integration. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis.

3. Accounts and API Keys

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys. API keys grant access to the Service on your behalf — do not share them publicly or commit them to source control. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key.

We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are found to be used in violation of these Terms without prior notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Capture screenshots of pages you do not have permission to access.
Circumvent authentication, paywalls, or access controls on third-party sites.
Capture content that infringes on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
Conduct automated scraping campaigns that harm third-party servers.
Attempt to access internal network resources, private IP ranges, or metadata endpoints (SSRF attacks).
Resell or sublicense API access without explicit written permission.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.

5. Usage Limits

Free tier accounts are limited to 100 successful screenshots per calendar month. Limits reset on the first day of each month (UTC). Exceeding the limit will result in requests being rejected with a 429 Too Many Requests response until the next reset.

We reserve the right to adjust rate limits, quota, and pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

6. Intellectual Property

scrnr.io does not claim ownership of screenshots you capture through the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and use the content of any page you submit.

All rights in the scrnr.io platform, branding, and underlying technology remain the property of scrnr.io.

7. Data Retention

Screenshots delivered via URL are stored temporarily and expire after 24 hours. Request logs (URL, timestamp, status) are retained for up to 90 days for billing and abuse prevention purposes, then permanently deleted.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT SCREENSHOTS WILL BE PIXEL-PERFECT IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCRNR.IO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where possible.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users via email for material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
